Exhibition:
This was a piece created to define me as a growing artist and how this community or city that I belong to affects me and how have I affected this community. Inspired by the famous movement pop art and the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. Emulating the constant repetition of stroke from the work of Van Gogh; Starry night was a piece that allowed me to see nature from a different perspective, by not only looking but rather connect and feeling the senses around me. The work mentally distorted my way of seeing the world.

Sketches:
Experimenting/Developing ideas:Before I started sketching. I felt that researching how cars are painted in pop, because I had an idea to use cars presented in my work. Experiment of mixing colors so it would emulate Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. I also used painters tape to separate the buildings from touching each other and to get perfect lines.

Artist inspiration and Culture:
Vincent Van Gogh was my art inspiration. Van Gogh was an Impressionist artist. He was the greatest dutch painter after Rembrandt. The specifically painting I chose to use for my piece is "Starry night". I chose this piece because of the movement it had within the skies. This piece in particular goes well with the meaning of my piece, involving movement. I felt that this piece was able to help me define my meaning for my Triptych .
I chose the art movement, Pop art, because Pop art employs aspects of mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane cultural objects. Pop art was a response by artists; it marked a return to hard-edged composition and representational art. This inspired me to create my Triptych . My second choice of art movement , Impressionism art, because Impressionism is a 19th-century art movement characterized by relatively small, thin, yet visible brush strokes, open composition, emphasis on accurate depiction of light in its changing qualities. kingsmustrise, "Really, it's patience. Reflection:
Overall this piece was a creative piece to do, especially when the painting is about me and my community. The triptych was very time consuming; this piece was honestly one of the longest piece to finish. I believe the reason as to why it took such a long time to complete it was the emulation of Starry night. I knew the technique, but i wasn't very skillful at it. It took multiple repetition to getting the right stroke onto the 3 canvases. I like the finishing result a lot and I would've done a little things differently, because it was time consuming to finish the canvas. My favorite part about doing this project was using two movements to express my creativity and the describe the piece. because of the emulation of Starry night and seeing the cars as there on the road. If able to redo this; I would probably use an actual city such Milwaukee or a huge city. This piece overall does emulate the style of Vincent van Gogh and Starry night; by colors being used and the movement that comes from the piece.
Act Questions:
1. Clearly explain how you are able to identify the cause-effect relationships between your inspiration and its effect upon your work.
The artist Vincent Van Gogh was able to describe movement through The starry night. This was the main component of my art work, which I wanted to express within the beginning of the stage of the triptych.
2. What is the overall approach (point of view) the author (from your research) has regarding the topic of your inspiration? The research was able to help me understand the use of fine lines and the constant repetition involving acrylic.
3.What kind of generalizations and conclusions have you discovered about people, ideas, cultures, etc. while you researched your inspirations? The generalization that I came upon is that Vincent van Gogh ideas were to show the idea movement and repetition. Also to express movement using color. Visually presenting environments that people wouldn't natural see from a painting.
4. What was the central idea or theme around your inspirational research? The overall central idea around my inspiration is to express the idea of movement.
5. What kind of inferences (conclusions reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning) did you make while reading your
research? - Types of inferences that i made about my research was that Vincent Van Gogh was why he never decided to sell his artwork or even attempt to present it to others. I concluded that Van Gogh was the greatest dutch artist ever.
