Block Print
This piece was made to define the reason as to why I wanna get away from everything in life, school, friends and family. This time I focused on the movement of my work and how I would be able to emulate Van Gogh's Starry night. This piece shows the overwhelming thoughts that are in my head every single day. Which are mostly my curious thoughts of my life. I decided to use movement, because it was mention so many times in my meaning that I’d emulate Van Gogh’s work Starry night.

1)Process, Idea, Culture.
Jot down ideas or create a list (connect the piece to an ARTIST/CULTURAL or PERSONAL experience)
2) Planning sketch
8) Act questions
1) The artwork that Vincent van Gogh made, Starry Night, was to show the meaning of movement. The piece focused on one part of the artwork. The artwork allowed me to understand the meaning of art, making a piece stand out more then any other artwork. The work effected me mostly through feeling and movement. I wanted the same effect that Van Gogh used with movement, so that if someone has the same mind set as me, they would be able to relate.
2) The overall point of view of my research is that the Japanese culture of block printing goes way back. The storytelling from the block print is really confusing, but amusing to look at. It also allowed me to produce my own work of art, I analyzed the Japanese culture and Vincent Van Gogh's work of art and emulated it to tell my story.
3) An overall conclusion that I have discovered is that the Japanese cultures are shown within their art, and that when they create block prints, they show a story for every block print. I also discovered that block print first came from Japan and expanded throughout the world.
4) The central idea or theme around my inspiration is nature, and human base. because with the Japanese culture that used humans to tell stores or to have a memorable person printed. with Vincent Van Gogh his Starry Night its based off of nature, because the sky and where he placed the small town.
5) A conclusion I came up with about Vincent Van Gogh and the Japanese culture is that, both works all produced movement. Also japan were the first to invent a tool that allowed them to press down the block print easier. Any other research I did I researched already about Vincent Van Gogh.
